Classes

This is the beginners level class for students aged 5-7. The kids will begin to learn basic vocabulary and the Tamil alphabet. 

First-time students that do not fit into the age group for Kindergarten will be placed in this class. Advanced basic combines the course syllabus for Kindergarten and Grade 1 so students will proceed to Grade 2 after completing Advanced Basic. 

Students who completed Kindergarten will move to Grade 1. They will continue to learn the alphabet and improve their writing skills. 

Grades 2-8 are run similarly. Each grade has a curriculum provided by California Tamil Academy. There will be either a project or a test every 4 weeks and a final exam at the end of the year to move up to the next year. 

This class is designed to help the learners with little or no background in Tamil.  Curriculum will focus on speaking Tamil rather than reading and writing. This class is divided into two groups based on students age (4-7 and 8+ )
